Diego Sanguino graduated from Ravensbourne University London with a MA Communication Design. He has a background in digital illustration, graphic design and 3D animation. He joined 59 Productions as an assistant designer in 2018 while finishing his master’s degree. While at 59 Productions, Diego has worked on various projects assisting with content animation and visualisation design.

Prior to Ravensbourne University Diego studied his BA specialising in Illustration at Complutense University of Madrid, he has also undertaken further short-term studies at Central Saint Martins and Hanyang University in Seoul.

His MA major project Gemmology is a fictional cinematic narrative that aims to engage teenagers with the subject of history. A series of 3D videos and a virtual reality experience have been produce for use in museums to create a powerful, adventurous and thrilling journey across history while exploring the myths behind gemstones. In the videos jewels such as Jade, Turquoise and Lapis come alive and welcome us to travel back in time, thousands of years ago, and explore China, Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. The videos narrate memories of how the jewels were discovered and how they shaped the history of the most important civilizations of all times.
